Your training at the Deltapark Vitalresort

Are you passionate about cooking and love good food?

The kitchen is a workplace for imaginative gourmets and creative minds with a good sense of smell and taste. You will learn how to prepare tasty dishes from high-quality, seasonal foods and present them attractively on the plate. As a chef, you will surprise guests anew every day. As part of a team, you will master hectic situations with a cool head and a smile.

Training Programme

You will be assigned to various posts during your training. Typically, you will start in the "cold kitchen" as a Gardemanger, responsible for salads and starters. Later on, you will work at the patisserie station (desserts and cakes), the saucier station (meat and fish) and the entremetier station (side dishes and vegetables). As your training progresses, you will take on more responsibility, always supported by our experienced station managers.

Good to know

Vocational School

Lessons at the technical college take place one day a week in Interlaken.

Salary

1st year of apprenticeship CHF 1,070 per month

2nd year of apprenticeship CHF 1,350 per month

3rd year of apprenticeship CHF 1,600 per month

Future perspectives

  • Shortened second apprenticeship as Dietary Cook EFZ, Restauranteur EFZ
  • Professional exam as Head Chef with Federal FA or Federal Diploma as Head Chef
  • Study at a hotel management school to become a Dipl. Hôtelier/Restaurateur HF
