The Lake Thun region is a real jewel in the Swiss Alpine landscape and offers a wealth of opportunities for cycling tours that are both scenic and culturally stimulating. The lake itself, surrounded by high mountains and picturesque villages, provides an impressive backdrop for a ride.
Six Specialized electric bikes are available for our hotel guests. The e-bikes are suitable for trips on the road or on unpaved cycle paths. They have an assistance of 25 km/h.

This idyllic tour takes you along the Gürbe River, through a flat valley almost as far as Bern. Most of the Gürbe valley lies in the Gantrisch Regional Nature Park. From the Deltapark, the route leads via Uetendorf, Kirchdorf and along the Belpberg to Belp. From there, you return to Gwatt via Toffen, Wattenwil and Reutigen. On the return trip, enjoy the impressive panoramic view of the Bernese Alps with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

The short round trip to Stockental is an ideal way to get started. You climb the Gwattstuz directly behind the Deltapark Vitalresort. From there, you can take a short detour on foot to the historic Strättligburg castle (approx. 10 minutes). The medieval castle ruins date back to the 13th century, and a still-visible powder tower was built from it in 1699. The journey continues via Zwieselberg to picturesque Lake Amsoldingen. Then return to the hotel via Oberstocken and Reutigen.

A somewhat more challenging tour for active guests. Explore the town of Thun and nearby forested area. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours on e-bike and 3 hours on city bike / length: 33.3 km / 550 m elevation gain
This challenging tour circles the entire Lake Thun. It is also an ideal day trip with beautiful stops in Spiez, Interlaken, and the town of Thun. The (partial) bike path runs directly along the lake - but please pay close attention to the traffic, as at times you will be sharing the road with numerous cars.
